  1. I have been going to Mazatlán for 42 years and have stayed at the Costa de Oro for all but one year. I know it is older but it is in the process of being remodeled. It hit 50 years this year. The staff is fabulous, the location is great and the pool area is welcoming. They had to start making guests wear wrist bands because too many people would come in off the beach. You can’t please everyone, but it is just where I want to be.
